Lee Custom Iron is the manufacturer and exclusive distributor for this post - most commonly used in fencing applications at gates, corners or terminals. We manufacture these posts to supply our customers with the finest, most correct terminal posts for Late Victorian style applications. The cap and finial are sand cast by a good friend here in Kalamazoo - Jim Wendel @ Quality Castings - in aluminum and then shotpeened to insure paint adhesion. We machine what's needed and fabricate the balance here in our shop. We have seen a few manufacturers catalogs popularly offering this style post into the late 20's. Nevertheless - they are very Victorian.

Cast off an original post from 1885 to 1900+ the Cap and Finial together measure: 11" Tall x 6 “ Wide on the square and 7" on the diagonal.

The cap is attached to the top of the fabricated body of the post with a threaded final as the 'nut', just like the original.

The 1"x3/16" collars are generally spaced to match mating fence rails. These collars either have brackets attached to accept 1 1/4" x 1/2" x 1/8" channel - generally used with a 1/2" (round or square) picket -or- brackets to accept 1 1/2" x 1/2" x 1/8" channel for fence with 5/8" (round or square) pickets.

We use 1"x1"x1/8" 'T' material for the corner bars, as did the original. You may choose 1" square solid bar.

A 24" root (any heavy scrap) is welded to base plate for in ground install. For surface mount, the base plate is punched for 4 holes and anchored to concrete with a fastener.

Available unassembled to fabricators in Kit form. The materials used in the balance of the assembly are commonly available from most steel suppliers.

Depending on installation method, each post weighs between 35# and 40#.
